What’s the opportunity?

This role is responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships within the team and with key internal and external stakeholders to create a collaborative environment that supports the delivery of a high-quality National Cancer Screening Register (NCSR). The role ensures the seamless integration of laboratories, radiology providers, and third-party operators with the NCSR, providing ongoing program updates, clinical and technical support, and effective issue resolution.


This is a full time-permanent role located in Melbourne. The successful candidate will be required to attend the office 2-3 times per week.


About the role:


Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with pathology labs, radiology providers, and third-party clinical information vendors.
  • Act as the primary contact for all connected pathology labs. Liaise with Radiology Liaison as required.
  • Ensure vendors and stakeholders are informed, engaged, and confident in Telstra Health’s delivery.
  • Develop and execute a regular engagement strategy, including structured and documented communications.
  • Plan and chair stakeholder meetings; prepare agendas, minutes, and follow-up actions.
  • Draft and manage communications for internal and external stakeholders.


Operational Support & Issue Management

  • Provide high-level support and HL7 troubleshooting for labs and radiology providers, including data quality and technical queries.
  • Address participant queries for each of the program follow up teams in consultation with program leads.
  • Oversee operational processes including reconciliation, troubleshooting, and SLA monitoring.
  • Act as an escalation point for operational and technical issues; monitor and act on alert emails.
  • Oversee the management of the shared inbox, calendar, and JIRA tickets; participate in team meetings to resolve issues.


Technical Coordination & Testing

  • Liaise with technical teams to ensure smooth integration with the NCSR with timely delivery and resolution of issues.
  • Liaise with NCSR Release Manager and facilitate UAT/BVT testing and workshops.
  • Oversee result reconciliations
  • Manage daily HealthShare reviews and SLA report assessments.
  • Operate HL7 testing environments: track messages, prepare test cases, issue Notices of Connection.
  • Troubleshoot HL7 messaging issues and coordinate corrections with vendors.
  • Address alert escalations


Governance, Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain up-to-date SOPs, Program Implementation Guides, and work instructions.
  • Drive knowledge management to improve quality and stakeholder relationships.
  • Centralize internal contact with external stakeholders and ensure communication channels and processes are followed.
  • Investigate complaints and report data issues,
  • Promote inclusive, respectful team culture and align all teams with engagement goals.


About you:


Clinical experience and or customer service experience which will demonstrate:

  • Bachelor of Applied science (desirable, not essential)
  • Clinical knowledge (preferable but not mandatory)
  • Health related experience (ideal)
  • Knowledge of the National Cervical Screening Program, National Bowel Cancer Screening Program and National Lung Cancer Screening Program is an advantage
  • Experience with clinical information systems, laboratory information systems along with understanding HL7 messaging is an advantage
  • Stakeholder management with a high-level customer focus and ability to positively relate and interact with stakeholders to foster productive outcomes
  • Ability to work under pressure with conflicting priorities and/or meeting strict deadlines
  • High level attention to detail
  • High level written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary environment including internal and external key stakeholders
  • Extensive problem solving skills and ability to advocate for key stakeholder groups including consumers
  • Self-motivated with the desire to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A sound knowledge of computer-based software applications including Word/PowerPoint/Excel/database management systems.
  • Ability to conduct simple data analyses to reconcile reporting by laboratories with other data sources
