About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our specialised Uncrewed Systems team as we expand our training and operational services. We are looking for a dynamic individual to be part of our operational pilot team as well as deliver training to Government Agencies, Corporate clients and the general Public.

We are looking for a dynamic individual to be part of our operational pilot team as well as deliver training to Government Agencies, Corporate clients and the general Public.
Job Responsibilities
As an Instructor and Operational Pilot, you will play a vital role not only in our training division but also as an operational pilot. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Deployment on operational flight missions across Australia as rostered.
- Deliver and assess training for Uncrewed Systems in line with CASA and DASA standards, using approved lesson plans and course guidelines.
- Develop and maintain training materials and operational resources, ensuring continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory updates.
- Support student progress through monitoring, feedback, and professional engagement to ensure successful outcomes.
- Manage documentation and administration to meet CASA and ASQA regulatory standards, including flight planning and operational duties.
- Maintain aircraft fleet and client relationships, ensuring equipment readiness and fostering strong industry and organisational connections.
- Assist on projects as an SME and work with the larger Toll Government and Defence team as we expand into new areas.
- Undertake when directed by CRP, currency flights, assessment and documentation for Uncrewed Systems pilots and contractors.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Subject matter excellence in CASA RPAS relevant Acts, Regulations and procedures, CASA Remote Pilot licencing and RPAS endorsements.
- Demonstrated and compliance with ASQA, CASA and DASA Acts and Regulations
- Experience in BVLOS and EVLOS Class 1 and 2 flight operations
- Advanced demonstrated use and understanding of Uncrewed Systems software (Mission Planner, AVCRM, DJI Pilot, DJI Flight Hub, NAIPS, CASA Portals, Airdata, OZRunways as primary examples)
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Highly motivated with strong organisational & time management skills
- Attention to detail with high importance placed on accuracy and compliance
- Able to prioritise and work well under pressure to meet strict deadlines
- Able to work and operate in stressful environment due to nature of employment
- Have a strong understanding of Human factors, Situational Awareness and Risk management principles
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or CASA Flight Instructor Rating
- CASA Aeronautical Radio Operator
- Relevant CASA qualifications and endorsements for courses being delivered and Uncrewed Systems operated
- Minimum CASA Multi Rotor Sub 25kg able to gain Sub 150kg MR
- Minimum CASA VTOL Sub 25kg to able to gain 150kg VTOL
- EVLOS Class 1 &2
- Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) rating or Instrument rating (IREX)
- Demonstrated RPAS flight experience in both Controlled & Military Airspace
- Demonstrated Night RPAS Operations
