In your role as a Data Analyst in OneData you will be part of a team leveraging our shared data asset, which is one of Australia’s largest retail data sets. Your role will support Wesfarmers divisions to leverage this asset, to drive tangible commercial value by understanding our customers and improving the way we engage with them. You will need to be comfortable digging into the details of Wesfarmers data and finding the key insights that really drive our business forward.

What You’ll Be Doing

Relationship & KPIs

  • Collaborate with stakeholders in Analytics, Digital / Ecommerce, Marketing, Commercial and IT streams to deliver valuable solutions to key business problems
  • Serve as a trusted advisor by cultivating relationships with stakeholders to improve their understanding and knowledge of analytical techniques and outcomes
  • Effective Communication with key stakeholders around the delivery of key projects

Delivery

  • Design and implement new analytics solutions, in particular utilising web data, to meet business needs
  • Develop processes that streamline the integration of analytical resources into divisional implementations

Innovation

  • Source, develop and apply new and existing analytical methods and

What You'll Bring To The Table

  • Analytics professional with a proven track record (1-2 years) in the development and business use of digital analytics technology and working with large & complex data sets
  • Track record in designing and delivering data driven and/or analytics solutions that are actionable
  • Ability to engage and influence business users in the opportunity and benefit from data driven decisions
  • A real and demonstrable interest in analytics and its use and exploitation in a business context
  • Familiarity with web architecture including tag management, data layers, analytics tracking, and corresponding data flows
  • Experience with digital analytics and tag management tools (Google Analytics/Adobe/Tealium)
  • Experience in big data analytics and technology preferred
  • Proficiency in SQL and/or other analytics languages
  • Well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Business and commercial acumen
  • Bachelor or Masters degree in a Computer Science, Econometrics, Accounting, Applied Statistics, Engineering, Marketing, or another numerate field
