Governance and Corporate Operations Analyst

This role is responsible for enhancing and contributing to business outcomes through KordaMentha’s governance and compliance framework, by working with the Manager - Governance & Corporate Operations and Partner – Governance & Corporate Operations.

As this is a new role, the duties and responsibilities will be reviewed in six months.

1. Company Secretary

  • Set up of new entities
  • Maintenance of existing entities and registers
  • Trust deed stamping
  • Trade Mark and Business name maintenance and renewal

2. Compliance

  • Collation of Board papers
  • ASIC lodgements
  • Assistance with AFCA renewals
  • Assistance with APRA reporting
  • Assistance with coordinating compliance meetings
  • Prepare AFSL resource material
  • Assistance with collating annual compliance audit documentation
  • Maintain compliance control sets
  • Real estate license management

3. Governance

  • Maintain Governance & Corporate Operations procedures manual
  • Maintain insurance summary
  • Maintain Intellectual Property register
  • Renewal of Intellectual Property
  • Power of Attorney set up and management
  • Maintain Governance & Corporate Operations intranet

4. Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)

  • Assist in maintaining ESG website and intranet
  • Prepare quarterly updates
  • Collate emissions data

Qualifications

  • 2 to 4 years experience in a similar role
  • Prior experience in company secretarial, AFSL and compliance desirable
  • Professional services or compliance background desirable
  • Strong time management, organisational and co-ordination skills
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge or experience of risk/compliance systems e.g. 6Clicks, Cyber GRX desirable
  • Ability to interact in a professional manner at all times.
  • PC literate including advanced Microsoft Office 2013 (Word, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Ability to manage areas of responsibility and take initiative.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a busy and dynamic team.
  • Desire to take ownership of tasks assigned.
  • Flexibility, in relation to working hours, as well as being able to change priorities and tasks as required.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Proactive.
  • Ability to adopt a ‘hands on’ approach
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure
  • Client service orientated
