The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Organisational Psychologist to lead the design and implementation of a comprehensive capability framework that will align with RMH’s values, strategic priorities, and vision for workforce excellence.
This exciting 12-month, full time, fixed-term project will position you as a key driver in building our culture, helping to ensure RMH has the skills, behaviours, and leadership it needs to meet future challenges and deliver exceptional care.

The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Organisational Psychologist to lead the design and implementation of a comprehensive capability framework that will align with RMH’s values, strategic priorities, and vision for workforce excellence.

About The Role
- Design and implement a comprehensive capability framework aligned with RMH's strategic objectives and values
- Conduct thorough needs analysis across diverse clinical and non-clinical teams
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define core capabilities that drive high performance and innovation
- Integrate evidence-based psychological principles to enhance employee engagement, resilience, and wellbeing
- Advise on framework application in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning
- Implement robust evaluation strategies to assess effectiveness and drive continuous improvement
- Provide training and support to leaders and HR professionals across the organisation
You are a confident and collaborative professional with:
- Registration as a psychologist (with AHPRA), ideally endorsed in organisational psychology
- Proven experience in organisational development, ideally within a complex healthcare setting
- Strong stakeholder engagement and consultation skills
- A deep understanding of evidence-based psychological approaches to workforce performance, leadership, and change
