Opportunity for an Associate to learn about NAB and the Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) Specialised Transaction Management (STM) function. The role is critical in ensuring an efficient and effective best practice service delivery of bespoke transactions originated within Corporate and Institutional banking and the wider NAB Group.
In the role of Associate, you will join the STM’s Corporate Trust team that’s doubling down on keeping it simple.

In the role of Associate, you will join the STM’s Corporate Trust team that’s doubling down on keeping it simple.
Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:
- Work with and support the Senior Associates to support the final execution of Corporate Trust domestic and cross border transactions, transaction restructures and terminations.
- At the direction of the Senior Associate, complete all post-deal administration transaction obligations and ensure Special Purpose Vehicles administrative obligations are satisfied e.g. legal, documentary, corporate governance and regulatory requirements via maintenance of Transaction Events Diary.
- Assist the Senior Associate to co-ordinate non-NAB tax group tax return process, including liaising with Group Tax & external Tax Agent where relevant.
- Upon instruction from customers, executing customer payments, trade instructions and any other directions in accordance with legal documentation and regulatory requirements.
- Complete the preparation and lodgement of Business Activity Statements/Instalment Activity Statements on a monthly and/or quarterly basis.
- Prepare transaction models for accounting and cash flow transactions for recognition in NAB Group ledger. Prepare & post month end accounting journals.
- An understanding and self-driven aptitude for grasping all legal, regulatory, financial and operational aspects and obligations of corporate trust transactions.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to re-prioritise deliverables in dynamic environment.
- Confident to challenge the status quo and actively embracing a continuous improvement mindset.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office capability, specifically Word and Excel.
- Tertiary level accounting knowledge with CA/CPA qualification highly regarded.
