Your New Role
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Incident Operations Specialist's key responsibilities will be to provide sound oversight, process improvement, and risk-based decision-making skills to ensure timely resolution and prevention of operational incidents across Member Operations.
Key duties include but are not limited to:
- Create and maintain incident records in the Group Risk Controls (GRC) to track and monitor risks and incident management.
- Arrange recovery of Fund Reserves for the payment of outstanding premiums, fees, costs to members or relevant 3rd parties.
- Oversight and approval of remediation and rectification activities in accordance with Fund policies and practices.
- Implement and enhance controls for risk mitigation and assist in oversight of these controls.
- Nurture and maintain internal relationships across all levels of the Fund to understand root cause of incidents and oversee the implementation of required preventative actions
- Hold third parties accountable to agreed plan and deliverables through active oversight and timely escalations.
- Operate and make decisions according to the Fund's Policies, Standards and Procedures and the Fund's Key Decision Registers and the delegated authorities.
- Ensure relevant legislative and organisational requirements are met; keep up to date on all key changes to relevant regulations.
What you'll need
- Experience within superannuation industry and/or a similar financial organisation.
- Solid working knowledge of operational risk management and controls for mitigating risk.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage the range of tasks required of this position.
- An excellent working knowledge of/experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Outlook.
- An ability to work autonomously and pro-actively without supervision and to set own work plan in order to meet deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills which foster cooperation and teamwork in a close team environment.
