    We are seeking an experienced Workcover & Injury Management Business Partner to support our frontline clinic management teams in meeting injury management and return to work obligations. This newly created role will play a key part in supporting injured team members, fostering a culture of early intervention and proactive injury response, and ensuring effective claims administration and return to work processes

    Key Responsibilities

    About the role
    Reporting to the Group Health & Safety Manager, you’ll be part of a small health & safety team within the broader People & Culture function. The role will primarily be based in Victoria, working from either our Geelong or Melbourne support office, with hybrid work options available. Regular intra-state travel to support over 40 Victorian clinics—mostly in metropolitan areas, with some regional travel—will be required. Occasional interstate travel to clinics in QLD, WA, TAS, SA, and NSW may also be needed several times a year.
    Key responsibilities include:
  • Provide strategic, accurate, and practical injury management advice to key stakeholders, including General Managers, Regional Managers, and frontline leaders across workers’ compensation matters.

  • Partner with clinic and operations teams to drive proactive injury management and return to work support.

  • Manage workers’ compensation claims, including administration, cost reconciliation, and reimbursement in line with legislation.

  • Act as IDX's Return to Work Coordinator, where permitted by State laws.

  • Oversee national claims management, liaising with insurers, rehab providers, treating practitioners, and injured employees.

  • Serve as the key contact throughout the claim lifecycle between staff, managers, practitioners, and insurers.

  • Develop and deliver training on workers’ compensation, injury management, and return to work processes.

  • Create and implement policies and procedures aligned with relevant State and local requirements.

  • Engage with external bodies and stakeholders on all workers’ compensation and injury management matters.
  • ️ About you

  • You’ll have solid experience in workers’ compensation and injury management, ideally in a health or radiology setting. You’re hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working across a dispersed business structure. To secure this role You’ll bring:
  • Extensive experience managing workers’ compensation, injury management and return to work services within a devolved organizational setting. Tertiary qualifications in allied health, rehabilitation or injury management would be desirable.

  • Demonstrated experience to administer and manage workers’ compensation claims across multiple jurisdictions.

  • High level computer skills with sound experience in Microsoft Office, claims administration and incident management systems.

  • Demonstrated experience with building relationships and providing practical business partnering support across a devolved business structure.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to influence and drive change across a devolved business structure and leadership teams.

  • Will require access to a car and hold a valid driver’s licence as regular travel between sites will be essential.
