Senior Finance Business Partner

Reporting to the General Manager Finance T&I, this Brisbane-based role will work in close partnership with the operational business, particularly supporting the General Manager Thin Surfacing and the broader management team. Success in this position will rely on your ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across the business and will require some travel. In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Collaboration and support for the GM Thin Surfacing and management team to provide financil insights, analysis and support for decision-making, performance improvement and strategic planning.
• Acting as a trusted advisor providing financial and commerical decision support, proactively challenging costs by understanding the underlying drivers to enable the most cost-effecive and efficient operation.
• Providing financial leadership during the periodic forecasting and budgeting processes, to ensure the business is on-track to achieve targets. This extends to other business meetings and periodic performance reviews.

ABOUT YOU

• Tertiary Qualifications in Finance, Accounting, or related field as well as CPA or CA qualification.
• 10+ years' experience working in a complex contracted services or engineering environment, with financial performance accountabilities at the senior level of a very large business.
• Proven track record of driving financial performance improvement in a fast-paced, high-volume and complex multi-discipline environment.
• Experience in providing in-depth insights and analysis on key performance drivers.
• Flexibility with travel to support the various operational areas of the business
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to break down complex matters for all stakeholders.
• High attention to detail, with a successful working knowledge of policy, regulations, contractual requirements and risk.
