Line 1 Risk Senior Analyst - Retail Bank
BOQ Group
Date: 1 day ago
City: Brisbane, Queensland
Contract type: Full time

About The Role
Are you passionate about risk management and eager to make a significant impact in the financial services industry? Well, we are looking for a dedicated and analytical Senior Analyst to join our Transformation & Digital team, within the line 1 Risk. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that supports the Retail Banking division in identifying, assessing, mitigating, managing, and reporting risks.
As a Senior Analyst in Line 1 Risk, you will play a crucial role in supporting management and the risk team, specifically within the Retail and Transformation space. Your primary responsibilities will include performing risk and control management activities, managing and administering incidents, issues, and treatment plans, conducting risk assessments and process analysis, providing risk support across projects, initiatives, and changes, and engaging with a variety of stakeholders at varying levels across the Group.
This role will see youcoordinate and facilitate activities under the Risk Management Strategy & Framework and the Operational Risk Management Framework, where you'll consult with other 1st line, 2nd line, and 3rd line Operational Risk and Compliance teams. Additionally, you will provide risk support and feedback to the Line 1 Risk team and relevant stakeholders within the Transformation Program and the Digital & Marketing business unit.
Managing general risk activities within the Transformation Program and the Digital & Marketing business unit will also be part of your responsibilities. This will see you liaise with various stakeholders throughout BOQ Group to identify, assess, mitigate, manage, and report on all risk-related activities, as well as perform analysis across complex data.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll come armed with proven experience in a similar role, within the financial services industry, preferably within banking. Non-Financial Risk management experience, including incident and issue management, risk analysis, and risk profiling, will put you in good stead for this opportunity.
You describe yourself as someone who can build strong relationships and hold an understanding or working knowledge of banking and relevant banking legislation (e.g., NCCP, Banking Code of Practice, Corporations Act). You are enthusiastic, love an analytical problem to solve and are eager to progress your knowledge in risk management. The ability to articulate potential solutions is key to this role, as is excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks across a fast-paced environment.
Working for us is fun and fast-paced, and we are seeking top talent to take us where we want to go. BOQ Group people are easy to spot. They're smart, energetic, full of ideas and passionate about what they do. If this sounds like you and you're looking to join a multi-brand on the forefront of digital financial services, we'd love to chat!
