About The Role
Reporting to the Director of Procurement, this pivotal role will lead the development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives that support the growth of Tennis Australia (TA) and its Member Associations (MAs). You'll drive best-practice tendering, supplier engagement, and contract management across a diverse portfolio of business units, ensuring procurement delivers measurable value and long-term impact. In this role you will be responsible for:
- Lead the development and implementation of category-based strategic sourcing plans.
- Drive end-to-end tendering, contract negotiations, and supplier engagement strategies.
- Act as a trusted advisor to business units on strategic sourcing, supplier performance, and procurement best practice.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure procurement solutions align with organisational goals and policy compliance.
- Utilise the strategic sourcing tool to report on value delivery, track savings, and ensure documentation is maintained and accessible.
- Build and manage supplier relationships to support innovation, sustainability, and long-term value.

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- Significant experience in procurement and strategic sourcing within complex or multi-faceted organisations
- Proven ability to lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives, including RFx processes and contract negotiations
- Strong skills in supplier and contract management, with the ability to interpret and manage commercial agreements
- Demonstrated success managing category portfolios and delivering value through strategic planning
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a collaborative and solutions-focused approach
- Proficiency in procurement systems (Workday or similar) and a sound understanding of governance and compliance frameworks
