Are you someone who takes pride in creating clean, safe and welcoming spaces? We're looking for a Cleaning Assistant to join our team at our Retirement Living Village , where you'll play a vital role in supporting the health, comfort and dignity of our residents.

About the Role:

As a Cleaning Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the village's communal and residential spaces remain clean, tidy and maintained to the highest standard. Your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Following scheduled cleaning routines across common areas, including lounges, hallways, dining spaces, and bathrooms

  • Performing detailed weekly cleans in line with our village's procedures

  • Spot-cleaning as needed and attending to spills promptly

  • Checking and restocking supplies such as hand soap, paper towels and toilet paper

  • Emptying and sanitising bins, replacing liners

  • Supporting hygiene standards that ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents, visitors and fellow team members

  • Occasional high cleaning (e.g. dusting fans, vents, or ceiling corners) in communal areas

  • Maintaining equipment and ensuring safe use of cleaning chemicals

About You:

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has a strong eye for detail and takes pride in their work

  • Can follow cleaning routines and manage their time effectively

  • Understands the importance of cleanliness in shared living spaces

  • Brings a respectful and friendly approach when interacting with older residents

  • Can work both independently and as part of a close-knit team

  • Has experience in a cleaning, housekeeping, or facilities role (preferred but not essential)

Requirements:

  • Current right to work in Australia

  • Willingness to undergo a Police Check (or NDIS Worker Screening, if applicable)

  • Availability for some weekend or out-of-hours shifts if required
