Are you someone who takes pride in creating clean, safe and welcoming spaces? We're looking for a Cleaning Assistant to join our team at our Retirement Living Village , where you'll play a vital role in supporting the health, comfort and dignity of our residents.

About the Role:
As a Cleaning Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the village's communal and residential spaces remain clean, tidy and maintained to the highest standard. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
Following scheduled cleaning routines across common areas, including lounges, hallways, dining spaces, and bathrooms
Performing detailed weekly cleans in line with our village's procedures
Spot-cleaning as needed and attending to spills promptly
Checking and restocking supplies such as hand soap, paper towels and toilet paper
Emptying and sanitising bins, replacing liners
Supporting hygiene standards that ensure the safety and wellbeing of residents, visitors and fellow team members
Occasional high cleaning (e.g. dusting fans, vents, or ceiling corners) in communal areas
Maintaining equipment and ensuring safe use of cleaning chemicals
About You:
We're looking for someone who:
Has a strong eye for detail and takes pride in their work
Can follow cleaning routines and manage their time effectively
Understands the importance of cleanliness in shared living spaces
Brings a respectful and friendly approach when interacting with older residents
Can work both independently and as part of a close-knit team
Has experience in a cleaning, housekeeping, or facilities role (preferred but not essential)
Requirements:
Current right to work in Australia
Willingness to undergo a Police Check (or NDIS Worker Screening, if applicable)
Availability for some weekend or out-of-hours shifts if required
