About The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to for a highly motivated and proactive individual to join the QLD Claims Team and kick start or continue your rewarding career in insurance building. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day customer service and administration in relation to property insurance claims. You will be in regular contact with clients, internal staff members and customers to keep them updated regarding their claims ensuring a seamless claims process.

Key Activities

• Process new claims, schedule estimators and submit quotes
• Prepare and issue building contract to customers
• Answer incoming calls & make outbound calls relating to claims
• Update notes to internal and client portals
• Prepare and provide documentation relating to the claim
• Issue purchase orders to specialist trades
• Approve incoming invoices from respective trades
• Scope/contract amendments for presentation purposes
  
  

Essential Capabilities And Behaviours

• Proven customer service and communication skills
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Ability to plan and prioritise
• High level of computer competency
• Claims experience (desirable)
• Insurance and/or building industry experience (desirable)
  
  

As the insurance building sector is heavily influenced by insurable weather events, overtime is occasionally required during these event times.
