About The Role

As the FP&A Analyst at Tyro, you will play a pivotal role in driving Tyro's operational and financial performance through financial modelling, analysis and reporting, and you'll own the delivery of the group forecast. You'll also be the Finance Business Partner to dedicated departments, responsible for variance analysis and working closely with Tyro's senior leaders.

What You'll Do

Reporting/Insights

  • Own the provision and accuracy of Tyro's monthly group forecast, financial model, and guidance comparison process - advising and escalating material or emerging divergences to senior leadership and XLT.
  • Partner with team members to standardise forecasting processes and ensure forecast is communicated across the team timely.
  • Develop reports and presentations to effectively communicate how Tyro’s core operating and financial drivers (actuals and forecast) are performing relative to budget and market guidance.
  • Identify trends and provide actionable insights to XLT and senior leadership.
  • Act as a Finance Business Partner to dedicated departments.
  • Contribute to Executive and Board reporting with insightful driver-based analysis, including financial tracking & advice against profit and loss performance.
  • Assistance with formulating budgetary practices and guidelines.
  • Creation and review of financial models to support business cases.

Subject matter leadership

  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation, ensuring effective communication.
  • Play an organisational leadership role within the organisation as the subject matter expert on operational and financial forecasts, and the custodian of Tyro’s sources of truth for translating internal plans into financial modelling.
  • Develop and cross-skill other members of the team in financial modelling and analytics.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or a related field.
  • Expert proficiency in financial modelling and MS Excel (incl. macros) to translate commercial performance drivers into flexible modelling tools for senior management decision support.
  • Proficiency in data visualisation tools and reporting platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and derive actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (incl. C-level power point presentations), with the ability to effectively convey complex concepts to senior leadership.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen with the ability to advise key decision makers on business dynamics and drivers.
  • Proven experience connecting business performance drivers to customer and shareholder value creation.
  • Understanding of accounting concepts and reporting techniques.
