These are two of Western Australia’s premier gold operations, with ongoing investment and exploration taking place across both open pit and underground operations at each site.

The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Vendor Coordinator to support our Global Supply Chain business unit based in our Perth Corporate Office and reporting to Superintendent: Vendor Management, this position is offered on a Monday – Friday roster.

This is a 12 month fixed term opportunity.

Role Purpose:

To ensure that the Centralised Vendor Master Data is aligned within the global process development, with effective roll out, guideline setting, analytics and compliance checks.

This centralised function shall enable that compliance with the AGA requirements for vendor approvals are met globally, including record keeping of all compliance related matters such as conflicts of interest and as an example where there is a form of government involvement.

Accountabilities:

  • Vendor Onboarding & Compliance: Efficiently administer the approval and onboarding of vendors in SAP and SAP Ariba, ensuring strict adherence to AngloGold Ashanti Limited (AGA) governance requirements. This includes compliance with Responsible Sourcing policies and standards covering ethics, environmental, social, localisation, and health & safety aspects.
  • Process Governance: Ensure all mandatory processes related to vendor onboarding are consistently followed in line with AGA’s governance framework.
  • Vendor Master Data Management: Strategic loading, monitoring, and maintenance of vendor records, ensuring data accuracy and completeness in SAP and associated systems (manual or automated).
  • Media & Intelligence Monitoring: Proactively monitor media reports and business intelligence related to current or potential vendors. Take appropriate action where reports may impact the vendor's status or reputation.
  • Confidentiality & Integrity: Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and data integrity. Handle sensitive vendor information responsibly to safeguard AngloGold Ashanti’s interests at all times.

About you :

  • Hold N3 Technical qualifications
  • Studying towards a Degree/Diploma in the Commercial field would be advantageous
  • Some proven experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management, Environment, with preference to the Vendor Master.
  • Sound knowledge of the Microsoft Office packages and SAP is essential
  • Strong written and verbal communication, along with good negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Commercial or Technical experience in the Mining Industry is desirable for industry knowledge
  • Values driven approach within work and team
