RAAFA has a great opportunity for a Quality Coordinator, to work within our well-established Quality and Clinical Governance Team on a full-time basis. Together this team will provide overall leadership and management to RAAFA’s 5 Residential Aged Care Facilities and RAAFA HomeCare, ensuring the business exceeds compliance requirements.

We are seeking someone who is prepared to go above and beyond, being accountable for monitoring and supporting our staff to deliver care and clinical outcomes that our residents and clients expect and deserve. You will have the benefit of working alongside teams who are skilled leaders whilst being supported by the wider RAAFA Clinical Quality Governance Framework.

This is a full time, permanent role, that reports to the Quality and Clinical Governance Manager.

About This Opportunity

The Quality Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Senior’s Living Team to oversee quality systems and processes that drive RAAFA’s Residential Aged Care and HomeCare business. The role is diverse and requires a person who is passionate and self-motivated. You will apply your industry knowledge and skills to support a culture of continuous improvement, consumer engagement and quality service delivery. The role will be a champion of RAAFA’s person-centered care model, RAAFA’s R.E.A.L Care Experience.

As the Quality Coordinator there is the expectation of travel to ALL RAAFA sites when required.

This Role Will See You

  • Support in the coordination of accreditation requirements ensuring services are prepared for external audits.
  • Monitor industry for changes in industry quality/compliance legislation and manage organisational responses.
  • Monitor client feedback and support Managers in responding to feedback.
  • Support in coordinating and monitoring RAAFA’s internal auditing program.
  • Attend monthly Quality Meetings to support the team to meet their monthly quality KPI’s.
  • Conduct on-site auditing as required.
  • Monitor and support facilities to submit National Quality Indicators and Serious Incident reports.
  • Coach and develop managers to build capacity within their teams to ensure the organisation exceeds compliance with legislated quality standards and other industry standards and guidelines.
  • Provide quality reports to the General Manager Residential Care and Quality & Clinical Governance Manager with analysis and recommendations.
  • Engage with key stakeholders including RAAFA personnel, older persons and their representatives.

About You

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in a Quality Management role, preferably in an aged care and/or home care environment.
  • A good working knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards.
  • A passion and genuine care and respect for older people.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency and experience in using an electronic care management system, preferably iCare and/or AlayaCare and the Microsoft Windows suite of tools including Excel.
  • Experience in delivering strong, reliable and credible systems and processes.
  • Current driver's license and willingness to travel to RAAFA’s various locations.
