Temporary part time role – 21 hours per week for up to 12 months

Salary

$39,779 to $44,563 per annum (based on 42 hours per fortnight), plus superannuation. Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications and experience

About The Role

In your new role you will play an active role by providing high quality administrative and customer service support to the Library & Community Services Branch. This position is responsible to the Manger, Library & Community Services and has three major components;

  • Undertake the administrative functions of the Library & Community Services Branch.
  • Provision of customer service to internal staff and external customers.
  • Assist with the co-ordination of specific projects and services which include:
    • Library meeting room bookings
    • Justice of the Peace volunteer program
    • Reports
    • Promotional materials
    • Activities and events
Position Requirements

This position requires a person to hold tertiary or vocational administration/business qualifications (or accumulated experience deemed equivalent). The position requires a person with an excellent level of communication and organisational skills. The person is expected to have strong computer skills within the office environment and a high level of customer service skills.

This position is based at the Hornsby Central Library and will be required to liaise with all teams within the branch and with other relevant Council staff.

You will be expected to work in a business office environment, and may be required to visit other Council premises, related Business premises, or locations within the shire in order to conduct your role
