About The Role:

The National Operations Manager oversees the operations at our five processing and distribution facilities in Australia ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives. This role involves leading, mentoring, and developing a small team of managers, and implementing best practices across all operational sites. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our national operations while developing and leading high-performing teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster and maintain a safe and healthy work environment across all facilities, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and wellbeing regulations
  • Develop and manage financial budgets for national operations while monitoring income and expenses to ensure financial targets are met
  • Drive efficiency improvements across all processing and distribution facilities while optimising inventory management systems and maintaining consistent product quality standards
  • Deliver exceptional service to customers (internal & external) through operational excellence and ensuring timely order fulfilment across all regions
  • Identify and implement process improvements while leading continuous improvement initiatives and staying current with industry trends

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Ideally a tertiary degree in a related field – Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or Agriculture
  • Demonstrated commitment to a strong Health, Safety and Wellbeing culture, experienced in leading teams with a Safety-First mindset.
  • Experience leading and developing teams in values-based environments, with a proven track record of building high-performing collaborative work cultures that prioritise safety, quality, and operational excellence.
  • Desired experience overseeing capital investment projects, particularly related to automation and robotics.
  • Proven experience in the areas of operations leadership, risk management and compliance and a knowledge of supply chain, logistics, warehousing, storage and transportation.
  • Strong background managing manufacturing / processing teams through process and efficiency improvements, project management and equipment reliability initiatives ensuring business continuity
  • Desired experience in managing multi-site operations (some remote) with time / geographical differences
  • Proficient in MS Office, large ERP systems and knowledge of planning and inventory management tools.
