In the role of Head of role, you will join the Capital Markets – Origination and Distribution team that’s doubling down on winning together!
We are redefining our fixed income offering, particularly around our secondary market capabilities, to complement our strong footprint and offering in primary markets. We have a global footprint, and we are looking to grow and provide exceptional capital markets solutions (origination, syndicate, sales, trading, and research) to our borrower and investor clients.
This role is best suited to someone that believes that leadership is an advantage, is passionate about bringing out the best of a talented group of colleagues and wants to be part of building a highly successful business that delivers for colleagues and customers.
You will be responsible for leading a team, that utilises both traditional and growing external sales and trading platforms, which will be critical to building deep relationships with the investor community in order to deliver drive meaningful improvement in NAB's league table standings across Credit (Financials and Corporate), Rates (Government and Semi-Government) and Asset Backed primary and secondary markets.
Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:
- Lead a high-performing team of seasoned fixed income professionals across rates and credit, driving impactful client solutions and strategic growth
- Own the execution and delivery of sophisticated fixed income and hedging strategies for institutional clients, ensuring top-tier service and outcomes
- Be at the forefront of deal-making, focusing on primary and secondary markets, engaging directly with clients and managing risk in a dynamic, fast-paced market environment
- Shape the future of fixed income sales, collaborating with senior leaders to develop and implement sustainable, customer-centric strategies, that can deliver NAB’s aspiration to be a leading Capital Markets house
- Foster a culture of excellence, ensuring the team thrives through expert knowledge, client relationships, and collaboration across the value chain (origination, syndicate, sales, trading, and research).
- Extensive frontline market expertise, with a deep pulse on fixed income, derivatives, and evolving global financial trends
- Demonstrated excellence in client execution, delivering tailored solutions in complex markets with measurable impact
- Strategic thinking, with sharp insight into regulatory landscapes, competitive shifts, and customer behaviour
