The opportunity to join our team

Join our Business Controls and Governance function as a Remediation Calculations Analyst. In this specialist role, you will be responsible for executing remediation calculations that arise from remediation programs, advice incidents, complaints, and other matters from the AFSLs. Your work will directly contribute to ensuring clients receive accurate and fair financial outcomes, building trust and confidence in our services. You’ll collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, supporting continuous improvement in remediation processes and driving quality in our client compensation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake remediation calculations and perform quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Collate and analyse relevant financial data to support remediation cases
  • Manage calculation request pipelines to meet service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Contribute to the improvement of calculation tools, guidelines, and processes
  • Document and maintain calculation-related procedures and precedent logs
  • Perform loss assessments and provide insights and reporting to management and key forums
  • Engage with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to support remediation activities

What You Will Bring

  • Tertiary degree in accounting, finance, or related area
  • RG146 qualified (minimum DFP level)
  • Proven experience in remediation and performing financial calculations
  • Sound understanding of financial advice principles, strategies, and investment products
  • Working knowledge of investments (stocks, bonds, managed funds, ETFs, annuities), pricing mechanisms, taxation, and life insurance
  • Proficiency in Excel for financial modelling; skills in SQL, VBA, or Python are highly desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
