Date: 12 hours ago
City: Perth, Western Australia
Contract type: Full time

Do you have at least 5 years of experience as a Production Planner within the mining industry?

Are you skilled in process and production planning, with a proven track record in scheduling and operational coordination?

Can you build strong relationships, stay engaged through challenges, and take pride in achieving shared success?

The Production Planner is responsible for developing weekly and daily production plans, monitoring performance against these plans, and reporting on plan conformance. Additionally, the role ensures adherence to road design standards and short-term mine design requirements, including road construction and stockpiling, to support the timely delivery of products.

As construction progresses at Mardie, we are continuing to shape our team. We are looking for an individual who is ready to be a part of this exciting project, where you will have the opportunity to really make an immediate impact.

The Company

BCI Minerals Limited (ASX:BCI) is an Australian owned mineral resources company with salt and potash as its initial focus. A future Tier One project, Mardie has been designed to produce 5.35Mtpa of high-purity salt and 140ktpa of Sulphate of Potash (SOP).

Using an inexhaustible seawater resource and 99% of the energy required produced by natural solar and wind energy, our Mardie project is a multi-generational sustainable opportunity that will supply the growing chemical, renewable energy, and agricultural industries with Salt and Sulphate of Potash for generations to come.

BCI Minerals are committed to establishing a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace. We believe that individual differences, perspectives, and experiences make us even better at the work we do and should be recognised, respected, and valued.

The Role

We're on the lookout for a proactive and detail-driven Production Planner to drive production efficiency and keep operations on track. In this role, you'll develop and manage detailed production plans that align with daily, weekly, and monthly operational targets. You'll prepare key production reports for leadership, analyse data to identify bottlenecks, and deliver solutions that boost performance. You will coordinate closely with Mardie site leaders to ensure alignment between production schedules and logistics, including shutdowns and compliance requirements.

You’ll also play a key role in monitoring production stocks, planning labour and material needs, and reporting on KPIs to drive improvements and cost savings. Your ability to build strong relationships will be crucial—working closely with Superintendents, Supervisors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth execution and open communication across the board. If you're passionate about optimisation and operational excellence, we want to hear from you!

About You:

The successful candidate will hold 5+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the mining industry. The Production Planner will have a strong background in process or production planning and scheduling, supported by a degree in Mine Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline. Proficiency with computerised scheduling systems is essential, along with advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint. Previous experience in the salt industry will be highly advantageous. The successful candidate will be required to provide a national police clearance that is not older than 3 months.

You must have current unrestricted working rights for Australia to be eligible for consideration.
