The Opportunity


As the Content Marketing Lead, you will be responsible for driving influence, engagement, and brand awareness throughout the customer journey. Your efforts will focus on increasing traffic and generating high-quality leads for both the acquisition engine and the Customer Engagement Team. Additionally, you will work to grow our owned audience across various media channels, ultimately reducing the cost per acquisition through more efficient media strategies.


This role will also involve creating a seamless customer experience across all media channels, CRM systems, and the website, ensuring that content journeys are interconnected. You will collaborate closely with the Digital Marketing Manager and the wider Marketing team to achieve these goals.


Key Responsibilities


  • Champion the content pipeline including identifying, planning, execution and analysis of a larger customer content plan for G8 Education and individual brands during the pre-search and choosing stage of the customer journey
  • Establish clear distribution channels for our content – in owned, earned and paid media. Including a clear content plan and process around how stakeholders contribute to the plan
  • Partner with the Digital Marketing Manager are to develop a content/social content strategy including investment and expected impact/return
  • Coordinate content creation and curation in support office, across G8’s wider network and external agencies to support campaign execution and always on activity
  • Assist in coordinating and maintaining the content marketing budget and measure performance against spend to determine best use of allocated budget
  • Monitor and continuously optimise organic content and channels including but not limited to websites, social media and other online platforms in collaboration with other colleagues
  • Monitor, track & report on our digital channels to optimise performance and educate the organisation on trends and performance
  • Maintain a library of digital and traditional marketing materials, ensuring all content is approved, current and accurate, as dictated by product owners and business units
  • Engage with stakeholders in the key functions People & Culture, Operations, Education for content and digital needs


About You


  • 5+ years’ Marketing experience
  • Experience working in a large, fast paced organisation.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and ability to execute up to date digital marketing strategies and campaigns.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work as a team and independently.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet competing deadlines.
  • Hold a valid working with children check or willingness to obtain upon commencement.
