Description
Join the City of Coffs Harbour as the Team Leader for Event Operations. In this exciting role, you will have the opportunity to lead and manage a dedicated team focused on creating and supporting exceptional events in the region. You will oversee a variety of activities, including major civic events and bookings at key venues such as the C.ex Coffs International Stadium, Wiigulga Sports Complex, and the Coffs Coast Sport and Leisure Park .
As the Team Leader Event Operations, you will utilise your demonstrated experience in event planning, delivery, and evaluation to ensure each event is executed flawlessly. Your expertise in rostering and scheduling will be essential as you coordinate staffing and resource allocation, both internally and externally. With a strong knowledge of technology platforms, you will effectively manage project scheduling and financials, and your budgeting and forecasting skills will play a key role in preparing, overseeing, reconciling, and reporting on event budgets. You will participate in setting and measuring team targets and KPIs and ensure efficient documentation and record-keeping across all event-related requirements.
Your high-level verbal and written communication skills will allow you to provide support and advice to both internal and external stakeholders, and your exceptional organisational and time management skills will enable you to coordinate multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. As a collaborative, positive and responsible leader, you will successfully guide your team while ensuring that operations adhere to City policies and procedures. Your expertise will also assist us in implementing the Coffs Harbour Event Strategy by delivering initiatives that empower the community to host safe, sustainable events.

About You
- Tertiary qualifications in event management, tourism management or equivalent
- Extensive experience in event management, involving at least one of the following: sporting events, major events, civic events, or commercial events
- Experience leading a team in developing and delivering large scale events.
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
- National Construction Induction Certification (Whitecard)
- Current Class C Drivers Licence.
- Starting salary from $104,871.14 + on-call when applicable + 12% superannuation
- Permanent Full Time 35 hours per week
