An exciting, day rate contract opportunity has become availablefor a Health Insurance Data Governance Analyst.
The Data Governance Analyst role is focused on risk management across Health Insurance (HI) Data teams, requiring controls evaluation/assessment along with process/control improvement. This will help to drive the success of Health Insurance by ensuring all teams work in alignment through governance models and adherence to key enterprise frameworks and controls
This role will focus specifically on the area of Health Insurance Data Risks including appropriate access, use & management of HI business unit data. The Data Governance Analyst will work with various leaders across the HI business, as well as relevant enterprise leaders, to ensure business, regulatory and legal considerations are synthesised and effectively applied. This includes our Information Asset Owners Stewards, relevant Heads, General Managers & Directors, as well as partners across Data Technology and compliance functions
This role presents an opportunity to support tactical planning, controls assessment & uplift, along with the design BU specific frameworks. This role will determine areas of immediate focus and subsequent recommendations for enhancement. The incumbent of this role will work with our Information Asset Owners, Stewards and relevant heads, general managers & directors across HI in order to define these
What will I be doing?
- Alignment/collaboration with Risk team focused risks that our outside appetite and assessing and developing control deficiencies.
- Collaboration with central Data Governance team to ensure alignment of work.
- Ensure effective management of sensitive information across the HI Business Unit
- Define and action tactical plan to lead the assessment and uplift of access management controls.
- Develop and drive the operationalisation of an BU level access management framework.
- Develop key framework components which could include principles, guidelines, process/control requirements, authorisation and control effectiveness review and reporting.
- Lead access control design effectiveness and operating effectiveness assessments key-data access points for Health Insurance Data.
- Demonstrated experience assessing and evaluating controls
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective processes and controls to manage risks effectively
- Demonstrated experience in balancing & facilitating discussions that enable decision making
- Demonstrated experience working across all levels of an organisations hierarchy
- Demonstrated experience in supporting the development of data management solutions
- Comfortable with driving strategic, detailed and (at times) technical initiatives
- Very strong communication and writing
- Demonstrated understanding of a breadth of data related activities including data analysis, data science, machine learning, data risk management and data governance.
