Bethanie Community provides a wide variety of home support services to clients covering day to day living needs in their own homes including personal care, domestic and gardening services, respite services and social centre programs in Geraldton, Perth and in the South West. You will join a team of people who are passionate about getting to know the people they care for, resulting in better quality of life and health outcomes for community clients.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, energetic and highly flexible individual to join our Bethanie Community team in the capacity of Qualified Support Worker for the North West Metro region covering suburbs including Scarborough, Mt Claremont, Glendalough, Osborne Park and Tuart Hill.
Whilst you use your own car we offer a travel allowance of $0.92 per kilometre.
To be considered for this role you will be available to work:
- Permanent part time (minimum 20 hours per week guaranteed)
- Working shifts between the hours of 8:00am – 3:00pm across Monday to Friday. Additional weekend availbility would also be preferred.
About the role:
- Professionally deliver a variety of services (including: food, laundry, personal care, leisure, interest & domestic cleaning)
- Ensure all living areas of clients homes are kept clean and tidy, and safe from hazards
- All personal care tasks and outcomes are met and documented appropriately
- Provide respect and compassion to clients
About you:
- A Certificate III in Individual Support is essential
- Previous experience within an Aged Care, or Community Care environment
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
- Ability to ensure safety and wellbeing of clients are maintained
- Clean drivers licence, and access to a reliable vehicle
- Current Police Clearance, or willingness to apply for one
- Willing to obtain required vaccinations – 1 x covid and annual flu
