We are working with a leading organisation who are seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to support their payroll system implementation and staff training during a critical transformation phase. This short-term contract is ideal for someone with strong systems knowledge and a passion for sharing best practice.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of a new payroll system, ensuring smooth transition and data accuracy
- Conduct end-to-end payroll processing (approx. 300 staff)
- Maintain and update payroll records with accuracy and confidentiality
- Train internal payroll and admin staff on new processes and systems
- Interpret awards, EBAs, and contracts in relation to overtime, shift penalties, and allowances
- Liaise with internal teams and respond to payroll-related queries
- Manage superannuation, salary packaging, and other deductions
- Process variations, back pays, and termination calculations
- Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to best-practice documentation
- Proven experience in end-to-end payroll within a medium to large organisation
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance, systems, and reporting requirements
- Previous involvement in payroll system implementations and staff training highly regarded
- Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
