Game to join us?

At Tabcorp, we believe in creating environments where our people—and our partners—can thrive. We're on the hunt for a dedicated and energetic Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) and Compliance Lead to help us embed a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence across our extensive retail network.

This is more than a compliance role—it's your opportunity to shape the future of workplace safety in one of Australia's most well-known entertainment and wagering businesses.

Reporting to the Retail Operations Compliance Manager, you’ll take the lead in ensuring our WHS and compliance practices don’t just meet standards—they set them. From building and rolling out safety frameworks to partnering with third parties and training retail teams, you'll play a central role in keeping our people safe and our business compliant.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the charge on WHS: Design and deliver WHS frameworks, policies, and practices—including for third-party operations.
  • Ensure compliance excellence: Monitor regulatory and internal compliance across retail locations, including responsible gambling and licensing.
  • Audit and assess: Conduct regular inspections and audits, identify risks, and ensure proactive mitigation and resolution.
  • Empower and educate: Build strong relationships with stakeholders and deliver targeted training that drives real behaviour change.
  • Champion culture: Be the voice of safety and compliance, encouraging continuous improvement across the retail network.

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven experience in WHS and compliance, ideally in a multi-site or retail environment
  • A strong understanding of WHS legislation, regulatory frameworks, and industry standards
  • A passion for driving cultural change through influence and education
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • An analytical, problem-solving mindset and practical approach to risk
  • Relevant qualifications in Work Health and Safety, Risk Management or Compliance (Cert IV or higher preferred)
  • Bonus points if you’ve worked in retail, hospitality, or a similar operationally complex industry—or are familiar with TAB operations.

What you’ll get

  • Diverse leave options: bonus leave of 5 days annually, cultural, volunteer, and 18-weeks parental leave.
  • Access to corporate discounts and our leading health and wellbeing app.
  • Monthly employee social activities, competitions, awards and free tickets to events.
