About This Role
I-MED @Mater Imaging is currently seeking a Chief Medical Imaging Technologist to join the team. This is a full time position reporting to the Regional Manager and is suitable for an experienced Radiographer, Sonographer or Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
I-MED @Mater Imaging is a busy private radiology clinic located in the Mater Hospital in North Sydney within walking distance from the new Crow's Nest Metro station. The successful candidate will be responsible for 40 staff, or 30 FTE, covering radiographers, sonographers, NM Technicians, Nursing staff and Wards people.
The clinic provides services across all modalities including PET/CT, 3T MRI, EOS Imaging as well as CT, Ultrasound, General X-ray, OPG and DEXA Bone Densitometry. The clinic also provides services to inpatients of Mater Hospital including theatres.
The clinic has an interesting casemix with over 90% referred by specialist clinicians and includes a high percentage of oncology work as well as orthopaedic and breast imaging. The clinic also provides imaging services for a number of clinical trials.
The position requires an ability to maintain a strong and effective working relationship with key hospital stakeholders in providing services to in patients and referrers.
Role Overview:
Your responsibilities will include:
Current AHPRA or ASAR registration as a Medical Imaging Technologist or Sonographer
Clinical Experience In a Hospital Is Essential.
Experience across multiple modalities would be an advantage
Experience supervising and leading individuals and teams, and the ability to effectively engage staff
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to prioritize workload.

Role Overview:

- Performing standard clinical duties including imaging in your relevant modality.
- Provide direction, supervision, support and recognition of technical staff in the provision of high quality imaging services to referrers and patients.
- Plan and manage staff rostering, annual leave planning and sick and other leave as required.
- Ensure compliance with quality management standards within the clinic
- Display a strong commitment to developing others through implementing effective performance management and development processes
- Work collaboratively with the Regional Manager, Office Manager, and key stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with hospital stakeholders in the provision of services to hospital in patients.
- Understand the financial and commercial aspects of the business and focus on managing clinic costs to achieve or exceed budget targets
