Job Description

The NT Remote Locum Program (NTRLP) is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander-led workforce program dedicated to strengthening healthcare services in remote communities across the Northern Territory.

We are seeking experienced Dental Therapists/ Oral Health Therapists to provide treatment to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in remote NT communities. This locum-based role offers short-term placements where you will work on-site in remote clinics, delivering culturally safe, high-quality care in collaboration with Aboriginal Health Practitioners, General Practitioners, nurses, and support staff.

What You’ll Need:

  • Current Oral Health Scheduled Substance Treatment Protocol (SSTP) certificate in the past 2 years.
  • Current NT Radiation License or application for NT Radiation License.
  • Minimum of Two years full-time post-graduate of clinical relevant experience as a dental therapist.
  • Minimum of 250 hours of relevant full-time clinical experience working as a dental therapist within the past 12 months.
  • Current BLS / CPR Certificate.
