The Role


  • Strategic Leadership - Provides professional high level human resource advice & Strategic Leadership & ensures the Department meets its statutory obligations.
  • Strategic Planning - Participates in the strategic planning and business plans to implement the Department's objectives & ensures organisational aims and objectives are achieved.
  • Stakeholder Engagement - Represents the Department on forums and tribunals and negotiates with stakeholders including central agencies and union representatives.
  • Business Improvement - Develops appropriate human resource policies procedures and guidelines & continuously improves the efficiency and effectiveness of the People Services and Capability Branch.
  • People Development and Culture - Participates in the Department's human resource advisory committees, leads multidiscipline teams & provides high level advice to management.
