Project Manager – Storage & Distribution

We are presently seeking a project manager with experience in storage and distribution (S&D) to support the Guided Weapons and Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) Group within the Department of Defence.

As the S&D Project Manager you will be part of a major project focussing on enabling capabilities such storage and distribution, test & evaluation (T&E) and training.

Your Day To Day Role Will Entail

  • Manage delivery agents and support development of business cases aligned with government reporting cycles.
  • Drive risk reduction and ensure business continuity across critical capability areas.
  • Transfer knowledge to ADF/APS workforce via documentation and verbal communication.
  • Planning and costing of domestic manufacturing test equipment and facilities.
  • Development of a GWEO Test & Evaluation Centre of Expertise.
  • Modernisation projects including infrastructure upgrades.
  • Consultation with international partners on Demilitarisation and Disposal requirements.

To be successful in this role you will need;

  • Project Management Qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Experience within defence projects

This is an exciting and interesting role that will contribute to and support sovereign capability. This program which supports strategic defence priorities is based in Canberra and is ongoing until June 2026 with potential for extension.
