Do something that moves you
- Developing and timely submitting of regulatory and compliance reports to the Office of the Gene Technology Regulator (OGTR) and the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA), ensuring Bayer meets all licence reporting requirements.
- Conducting field audits of our trial sites located across regional Australia to ensure compliance with OGTR licence conditions and Bayer requirements.
- Working autonomously to create stewardship documentation that aligns with both external and internal requirements.Communicating Bayer stewardship and compliance requirements through the development and delivery of training for internal and external partners.
- Collaborating cross-functionally as an active project team member to support robust stewardship and the Bayer product pipeline.
- Acting as the Institutional Biosafety Committee secretary, coordinating and tracking committee activities and meetings.
- Assisting with product and facility lifecycle management for our portfolio.
- Managing the implementation of pre-commercial stewardship programs for canola and cotton commodities.
- Supporting the Regulatory Stewardship and Compliance Lead with incident management.
- Obtaining and maintaining regulatory certifications for all facilities, including glasshouses, to ensure full compliance for tracking and quarantine.
- Coordinating the import, export, and movement of regulated plant material in collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders to support trials .
- Degree or Tertiary qualification in Science, Agriculture or Agronomy highly desiredProven experience in a regulatory or scientific stewardship position, along with an understanding of agricultural products and systems. While experience is highly regarded, a willingness to learn and a conscientious attitude are essential.Strong collaborative relationship skills, enabling you to work effectively with diverse teams and professional groups locally, regionally, and globally.
- Excellent attention to detail and first-class organizational skills.
- The ability to drive outcomes from cross-functional teams using strong influencing skills, even without a direct reporting line.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate and confidently convey complex information to a range of stakeholders
- Open Drivers licence and a willingness to travel occasionally for work purposes.
- This role will see you both in an office setting and in the field; a willingness to work outdoors in regional areas at times is essential.
