Pact's APM Contract Manufacturing division manufactures and packs for nutraceutical, herbal, vitamin, mineral and nutritional supplements. Tablets, hard capsules and powdered products are produced in our in our state of the art, TGA compliant facility in Keysborough.

The Production Planner role is to control the demand and capacity throughput for the company while ensuring that the customer’s requirements are meet through superior customer service; you will
- Work with key stakeholders to deliver best in class supply chain experience for customers
- Proactively work with the sales team to collaboratively deliver the sales plan and ensure supply chain risks are managed
- Own the short-term forecast to drive accuracy and product availability for customers
- Own effective and efficient production schedule and master plan, from product mix and ebitda perspective
- Work with finance and production to ensure production order compliance
- Support the Supply Chain Manager as 2ic
Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Receive and enter all customer orders in SAP
- Convert customer orders into production orders
- Create monthly production schedule
- Upload customer forecasts and provides sales budget based on forecast
- Thorough analysis of forecast versus order received
- Raise Master data & Raise Price requests in SAP
- Raise credit note in SAP
- Responsible for co-ordination of NPD orders
- Ordering Labels and managing label changes as per customer request
- Responsible for producing 3 monthly plan.
- Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay
- Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time and within budget
- Responsible for raising internal change controls and planned deviation
- Address issues as they arise aiming for minimum disruption
- Obtain output information (number of finished products, percentage of defectives etc.)
- Prepare and submit status and performance reports
- Monthly DIFOT report for all customers
- Monthly capacity report for all machines
Your skills and experience
To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
- Degree qualification or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 4 years’ experience gained within a planning/supply chain role
- Proven experience as Production Planner within a manufacturing background
- Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
- Experience in SAP ERP system (essential)
- Excel Specialist
- Production and Materials planning experience is important also (BOM’s, workflow planning etc)
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication abilities
