What’s the role?
This permanent, full-time role is part of our multi-billion-dollar UNITE Program, based at our incredible Tech Hub in the Gold Coast!
You will be a mainframe technical lead with deep expertise in CICS- based applications and will be overseeing the development and maintenance of mortgage servicing and loan origination systems.
Key responsibilities include:
To be successful in this position you should be proficient in COBAL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM on IBM z/OS platforms. You will have experience in a technical lead position and demonstrate how you can support, mentor and guide a team.

What’s the role?

You will be a mainframe technical lead with deep expertise in CICS- based applications and will be overseeing the development and maintenance of mortgage servicing and loan origination systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with product owners, mortgage business analysts, and enterprise architects to translate regulatory and customer requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Oversee the analysis, design, development, and testing of changes and enhancements to core mortgage processing systems.
- Ensure the performance and reliability of CICS online transactions and batch jobs that support critical mortgage functions.
- Drive modernization initiatives, including integration of mainframe systems with digital channels, APIs, and cloud-based services.
- Act as technical SME for audits, compliance efforts (e.g., SOX), and data governance initiatives.
To be successful in this position you should be proficient in COBAL, CICS, DB2, JCL, VSAM on IBM z/OS platforms. You will have experience in a technical lead position and demonstrate how you can support, mentor and guide a team.
You will have the below skills/experience:
- Experience with performance tuning and debugging tools like XPEDITER, Abend-AID, File-AID and other tools.
- Skilled in mainframe source code management tools like Endevor, Change man or equivalent.
- Agile development and DevOps exposure in a mainframe environment.
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
