    We’re on the lookout for a passionate Health & Safety Advisor to join our growing team, based in Geelong or Melbourne. Both locations offer a great mix of lifestyle and accessibility, making them ideal bases to support our clinic network. In this newly created role, you’ll support our frontline clinics to meet health and safety obligations, promote a proactive safety culture, and help implement best-practice solutions tailored to the unique needs of radiology services

    Key Responsibilities

    About the role
    This role will support a small health & safety team operating within the broader People & Culture support services function, reporting to the Group Health & Safety Manager. Occasional interstate travel to clinics in TAS, SA, and NSW may also be needed several times a year.
    Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Provide health and safety advice to key stakeholders, including but not limited to regional managers, frontline clinic operations management and health & safety reps (HSRs), on a broad range of matters relating to health and safety, workplace wellness, and emergency management systems and safe work practices.

  • Collaborate with frontline operations management and clinic staff to promote a proactive safety culture.

  • Support the Group Health & Safety Manager to develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures and maintain the organization’s health & safety management system.

  • Assist operational leadership teams to undertake and review risk assessments and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure known risks are being managed effectively.

  • Support the functioning and coordination of health and safety committees and consultation mechanisms across the business.

  • Assist the development and provision of training and support to staff on safety procedures and protocols.

  • Support the investigation of incidents and ensure corrective actions to prevent recurrence are implemented.

    This is an excellent opportunity for you if you are an emerging health & safety professional who has a keen interest in radiology or health care. It will provide a diverse workload and will support you to establish and develop practical skills as you support frontline staff and operational leadership teams in meeting their health and safety responsibilities. You will need to be hands on to provide a responsive health and safety support service.
    To secure this role you will need:
  • Qualifications in Health and Safety

  • Some practical experience in working in a health & safety role or background working within a healthcare or radiology setting would be advantageous.

  • High level computer skills with sound experience in Microsoft Office. Some experience with or computer literacy skills to navigate online learning or incident management systems would be required.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills will be required in building relationships and providing practical health & safety support across a devolved business structure.

  • Will require access to a car and hold a valid driver’s license as regular travel between sites will be essential.
