Software Engineering Manager (Teams)
Heidi Health

Who are Heidi?
Heidi is on a mission to halve the time it takes to deliver world-class care.
We believe that by 2050, every clinician will practice with AI systems that free them from administrative burdens and increase the quality and accessibility of care to patients across the world.
Built for clinicians, by clinicians, at the core of Heidi is its people. We are an eclectic bunch of inventors, builders, scientists, nurses, doctors, mathematicians, designers, creatives, and high-agency executors.
We achieve in 6 months what it takes our competitors 4 years to do. In just 12 months, 20 million patient consults were supported by Heidi, and we’re now powering more than 1 million consults every week.
With our most recent $16.6MM round of funding from leading VC firms, we’re geared up to supercharge our ambitious global growth, starting with the US, Canada, UK and Europe - and we need great people like you to get there. Ready for the challenge?
We’re looking for an Enterprise Teams Engineering Manager to lead one of the core functions of the business that ensures we deliver a robust enterprise experience..
(This role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane)
The Role
The Enterprise Teams Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the engineering efforts that enable successful integration and long-term satisfaction of Heidi’s enterprise customers. This includes building and managing the systems, processes, and people that support secure, scalable, and configurable enterprise integrations — such as SSO, EMR connections, audit logging, and permissioning.
You’ll work cross-functionally with product, solutions engineering, and sales to ensure enterprise features are delivered with reliability and velocity. You’ll also help shape how Heidi scales its platform to support increasingly complex customer environments without compromising developer productivity.
What you'll do:
You’ll work side by side with our engineering mastermind to shape the infrastructure behind the future of healthcare:
- Lead the Enterprise Engineering Pod: Manage and grow a team of engineers focused on building Heidi’s enterprise features and integration surfaces (e.g., SAML SSO, SCIM, role-based access control, API gateway, audit trails).
- Enable Successful Customer Integrations: Partner with solutions engineering and support to design and deliver enterprise integrations that meet customer requirements and timelines.
- Build for Scale and Reuse: Drive technical architecture and implementation of modular, reusable components that serve multiple customers while reducing operational burden.
- Own Reliability & Support Readiness: Ensure enterprise-facing systems are observable, debuggable, and supported by clear documentation and playbooks.
- Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with product, design, and go-to-market teams to shape the roadmap and ensure alignment with business priorities.
- Coach & Develop Talent: Support the growth of engineers on your team through regular feedback, mentorship, and career development.
What we’ll look for:
- 8–10+ years of engineer management experience, with at least 2 years in a technical leadership or management role.
- Proven track record building and scaling production systems in cloud environments (preferably AWS).
- Deep knowledge of infrastructure automation, CI/CD tooling, containerization, and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Expertise in monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
- Experience with secrets management, service mesh, and distributed systems.
- Strong knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements in healthcare.
- Comfort with scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Bonus: Experience in healthtech, startups, or regulated industries.
