Your New Role
Looking ahead, five million members will trust us to manage around a trillion dollars of their retirement savings.
Our risk capabilities must evolve to support this growth. Over three years to 2028, we are transforming our risk management framework and elevating risk culture by cementing risk at the core of how we make decisions.
It will enable a risk culture that encourages risk behaviours that are aligned to our values.
Reporting to the Principal, Investments Risk & Control, this is a Line 1 role that is responsible for delivering excellent Investment Risk transformation outcomes and other change initiatives.
This is a 24-month contract role based in Melbourne.
Key duties include:
Supporting the Investments department and Asset Class Teams by ensuring:
- All impacts of the transformation project are documented, assessed, prioritized, resourced and sequenced, including:
- Changes to the Fund's 3LOA model;
- Re-design of the fund's Risk Taxonomy and flow-on changes to Investments Risk Profile;
- Implementation of a new Risk Assessment methodology and Control Framework (and library);
- Definition and documentation of the Risk Appetite Statements in line with the new taxonomy;
- Development and delivery of Risk Transformation workstreams including Investments Risk Management Metrics and Reporting, as well as Investment Governance uplift;
- Collaborative Asset Class and Departmental change programs;
- Contributing to the preparation of reports for various committees.
- Delivery of Risk & Control initiatives in a way that will satisfy business requirements and objectives, in a timely and cost-effective manner;
- Investment Governance & Accountability reporting materials are consolidated, reviewed and submitted to relevant Oversight forums including the Investments Committee (IC), Investments Risk & Compliance Committee (IRCC), Executive Risk Committee, and the Operations Risk & Compliance Committee.
What You'll Need
- Demonstrable experience of Project Management / Business Analyst in Financial Services, with significant experience in Risk Transformation projects;
- Experience in a combination of financial risk management, or legal & compliance roles, as well as business and/or strategy roles, with a proven track-record of success;
- Experience and an understanding of Investments and investment processes;
- Attention to details and a sense of urgency;
- Self-driven and able to work independently, with strong planning and organisational skills;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills;
- Confidence interacting with people on different levels and experience liaising with and influencing internal/external stakeholders and cross-functional teams;
- Flexible and result driven, with the ability to multi-task and prioritise work in accordance to challenging deadlines and resource constraints.
