  • We are seeking a skilled and proactive professional to drive business continuity excellence. In this role, you’ll partner with Senior Leaders and the Executive Team to manage, develop, and continuously enhance crisis management and business continuity plans and tests in line with regulatory requirements. You will be instrumental in identifying gaps, risks, and issues, working collaboratively with business partners to develop practical and effective mitigation strategies.


What will your key responsibilities include?


  • Manage, maintain, and test NGM Group’s Crisis Management Plan, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards.
  • Act as CMT Secretariat during significant disruption events.
  • Develop and implement tools, resources, and strategies to enhance Business Continuity and Crisis Management.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to improve disruption management.
  • Regularly review and improve recovery, crisis management, and business continuity plans by identifying and addressing gaps.
  • Conduct impact and risk analyses to determine recovery timeframes and resource requirements.
  • Plan, execute, and review scenario-based exercises to test and refine existing plans.
  • Ensure comprehensive BCP testing in line with scheduled strategies and provide detailed reports on outcomes, recommendations, and improvements.
  • Stay informed on relevant regulations and industry standards to ensure compliance.
  • Identify and implement strategic improvements to mitigate business interruption risks.
  • Collaborate with key functions, including Risk, IT Disaster Recovery, and Third-Party Management, for integrated risk management.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and executive-level reporting on disruption events, systemic issues, and operational resilience.
  • Support team development and engagement to ensure high-quality service delivery in Business Continuity and Crisis Management.



What are we looking for?


  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in a Crisis Management, Risk and/or Audit/Assurance related function. While experience in the financial services industry is preferred, backgrounds in mining, military, or government sectors will also be highly regarded.
  • Proven experience completing, reviewing and testing Crisis Management Plans.
  • Experience in the implementation and application of Crisis Management and Business Continuity Management frameworks within complex environments.
  • Sound knowledge of operational risk as well as material risk types.
  • Experience in establishing and maintaining relationships with, and manage expectations of, key stakeholders, including Executives and Senior Leaders ensuring stakeholder engagement and capability increases.
  • A keen eye for detail, ensuring high-quality, error-free work and the ability to spot discrepancies.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to research, analyse, and interpret data for informed decision-making.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey ideas across various mediums, including formal reports.
  • Confident decision-making, using sound judgement to take appropriate actions.
  • A problem-solving mindset, with the ability to identify, analyse, and resolve complex issues effectively.
