About The Role

As a result of Georgiou’s significant growth, we are now seeking to strengthen our project team through the appointment of an experienced Environmental Manager to join our Engineering team.

What You're Good At

• Previous experience in environmental management in civil construction or infrastructure environment
• Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering
• Understanding of WA environmental guidelines and legislation
• Experience in the implementation of Main Roads Technical Specifications
• Experience in managing a team of environmental personnel including environmental specialists
• Someone who has the ability to build effective working relationships onsite and with clients
  
  

What You’ll Do

• Provide leadership and mentoring to the project team to support them in the execution of the Company’s Environmental Policy and realisation of objectives
• Provide specialist advice on environmental aspects such as noise, vibration, air quality, water quality, soil management, heritage, sustainability and ecology
• Apply for and manage any required environmental permits and approvals
• Provide project team with awareness of legal compliance requirements
• Record all relevant environmental data and compile reports for both internal and external stakeholders
• Lead and support the junior members of the environmental team
• Develop strong internal and external relationships and build company branding by collaborating with clients, government, community organizations, and employees
• Review all incidents and provide feedback as necessary to stakeholders
• Support the Company’s internal auditing requirements
