About the Role:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join our Rural Project team in a Team Leader role.
Location: Bendigo, Shepparton, Echuca or Kyneton
This position is responsible for the provision of high quality and cost-effective Program Delivery and Design services to support the delivery of projects for internal and external clients. In addition, this position will ensure the delivery of project coordination and design solutions to meet the Network Services and Electricity Networks works program.
The ideal candidate for this role will have a detailed knowledge of the electricity distribution industry as well as having a strong background in project management. In addition, this candidate will have excellent team leadership skills and a passion for continuous improvement of the team and business processes.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure the timely and cost effective delivery of design services for the Major projects program of Electricity Networks and Customer initiated works
- Oversee the scoping, planning and delivery of the program of customer initiated works
- Work collaboratively with the customer service group to ensure efficient and timely customer outcomes
- Develop and implement new and innovative ways to meet business needs by applying technical expertise and experience
- Manage external contractors providing delivery and design services to ensure cost effective, timely and high quality services
Required skills and experience:
- Tertiary qualification in an Engineering, Technical or Management discipline
- Substantial experience in the power industry in the areas of design and / or construction / operations
- Experience leading a large and diverse technical workforce
- Working knowledge of the electrical distribution network, particularly design and compliance with relevant customer and Australian Standards
