About The Role

Our client is seeking a highly strategic and results-oriented National Business Manager - Independents to lead our commercial partnership as well as other key Independent customers. This is a pivotal national role, ideal for someone who thrives on developing long-term strategic relationships, leading high-performing teams, and driving revenue and profitability in line with ambitious growth objectives.

Responsibilities Will Include

  • Lead the national strategy for the account to deliver gross sales and gross profit targets.
  • Develop and execute a Joint Business Plan that aligns with the vision and market goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across, including executive decision-makers.
  • Lead a team of Key Account Managers to deliver customer-focused solutions and exceed commercial targets.
  • Identify new product opportunities, drive range expansion, and champion category innovations.
  • Lead the development and implementation of best-in-class Key Account Management (KAM) and practices across the account.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years' experience in a senior sales or national account management role.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing sales teams.
  • Outstanding commercial acumen, negotiation, and influencing skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the hardware, garden, or home improvement industry.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to operate effectively across cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with data (Excel) and CRM systems (Salesforce experience a plus).
