About The Role

We are seeking an experienced .NET Architect to lead and support the design, development, and delivery of complex enterprise applications within a multi-disciplinary ICT environment. This role requires both strategic architectural leadership and hands-on delivery expertise, with experience working in government settings highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and guide the delivery of scalable, secure, and maintainable .NET-based solutions across the full software development lifecycle
  • Engage and report regularly to executive-level stakeholders and Steering Committees, providing clear technical direction and strategic insights
  • Apply formal project management methodologies (PRINCE2 or PMBOK) in coordinating architectural and development activities
  • Lead and participate in Agile SCRUM ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners to manage priorities, control scope, and ensure ongoing stakeholder engagement
  • Oversee and coordinate multi-functional teams including Business Analysts, Solution/Enterprise Architects, Developers, and Testers
  • Provide architectural governance and technical oversight throughout development and implementation phases, including integration of COTS products
  • Manage and support technical project budgeting, cost forecasting, and resource planning aligned to approved financial plans

Essential Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience as a .NET Architect within complex ICT environments, preferably in government or highly regulated sectors
  • Proven ability to communicate and report to senior executives and Steering Committees
  • Strong background in applying project management methodologies (PRINCE2 or PMBOK) in an architectural context
  • Extensive hands-on experience in Agile SCRUM environments, including stakeholder collaboration and backlog refinement
  • Experience delivering projects through the full lifecycle from planning and design to implementation and operational handover
  • Proven success in managing cross-functional teams across business, architecture, development, and testing domains
  • Strong background in custom software development and/or COTS solution implementation on the .NET platform
  • Financial management experience including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control within IT projects

Desirable Criteria

  • Previous experience in the health sector
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Certified Scrum Master, PRINCE2 Practitioner)
  • Experience with government standards and procurement processes
