A world-leading manufacturer of cutting-edge handheld analytical instruments based in Perth is looking for a talented Service Technician to be part of their dynamic team. Their technology is used across industries like mining, aerospace, energy, forensics, recycling, and more, wherever elemental analysis is needed.

This is a unique opportunity to work with XRF and LIBS devices (X-ray fluorescence and laser-based spectroscopy) that deliver lab-grade results in the field.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Diagnose faults and repair portable handheld XRF and LIBS instruments
• Conduct regular preventative maintenance and calibrations
• Deliver exceptional technical support to customers via phone and email
• Provide quotes for repairs and services
• Manage service inventory and maintain accurate parts stock
• Keep CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) updated with service history and notes
• Liaise with global support teams to resolve technical challenges
• Assist in creating service documentation and training future technicians
• Contribute to building and growing the new Perth service centre
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant workspace

You’re Ideal for This Role If You Have:

• A degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or relevant trade certification
• Experience servicing or repairing field-portable electronic devices
• The ability to work independently and manage your own time and tasks
• Licences for working with X-ray and laser devices in WA (or willingness to obtain)
• Strong customer service skills and clear communication
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
• Bonus points for experience with optics/lasers or CRM platforms like Salesforce
