Role Detail
Open to either our Perth, Melbourne or Sydney offices, reporting to the Matter Support Team Leader and serving as a key member of our Finance Operations and Support team, this role is essential for providing high level supporting the management of client matters and billing processes.
This position is being offered on a full-time, 6-month contract basis.
Key responsibilities:
- Assisting with the opening and maintenance of client matters
- Managing tasks and estimates using the Cosine Matter Planning system
- Handling billing, invoice adjustments, and accounting support
- Uploading electronic bills to e-billing portals
- Following authorisation guidelines for time write-offs and modifications
- Collaborating with Practice Assistants and legal staff to manage matters effectively
- Conducting system testing and providing feedback for improvements
- Developing knowledge of finance and firm systems, and sharing that knowledge with others
- Producing reports and data as needed
- Supporting team goals and assisting colleagues with their tasks
About You
Bringing your strong background in finance administration and attention to detail, your point of difference will be your proactive attitude and enjoyment working in a high performing culture.

You will also bring:
- Previous experience working within a finance function within a legal setting is highly desirable
- Accounting, Business or Commerce qualifications desirable
- Intermediate Excel and sound knowledge of Word and Outlook
- Intermediate proficiency in practice and expense management systems (Elite 3E or Aderant desirable)
- Knowledge of accounting concepts
- Excellent client service focus
- Ability to analyse and problem solve
- The ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with key internal stakeholders
