About the opportunity:
We are currently looking for a Maintenance Fitter to work within our Liquid grocery manufacturing site located in Erskine Park. Reporting to the Site Maintenance Team Manager this role is ideally for a self-starter who can work autonomously, you will be responsible for the maintenance of site equipment, attending breakdowns, ensuring stores are kept updated alongside diagnosing and resolving faults throughout the site. This position is based on an afternoon shift pattern (1pm to 9pm) working Monday through Friday.
You will be responsible for:
- Diagnose faults and carry out modifications to equipment
- Service and repair of Mechanical plant and equipment within the facility
- Carry out preventative maintenance to plant and equipment within the facility
- Make an active contribution to the team environment, through sharing knowledge and collaborating with others
- Point of contact when attending a breakdown during shift
- Assist in maintaining spare parts store to desired level
- Assisting in production when required
About You
- Mechanical trade certificate (mandatory)
- Previous experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment
- High level of technical and diagnostic skills including fault finding and problem solving.
- Processed based risk assessment skills
- Excellent communication and numeracy skills
Preferable:
- Liquid filling/bottle filling experience
- Industrial Bakery experience
- Food manufacturing, GMP, HACCP and BRC Procedures
- Liquid food manufacturing, mixing, homogenising, CIP systems etc.
- Experience with Boiler and steam systems
- Trade Waste processing and DAF plant system experience
- Forklift, TIG welding
- Contractor Management
