About This Role
On behalf of Woodside, we are recruiting a Quality Manager - Major Capital Projects, to join their team in Perth on a 12 month contract.
Reporting to the Quality General Manager you will ensure alignment with the Quality Policy, Projects Management Standard & Woodside Management System, providing governance over the development & implementation of the Project Quality Plan inclusive of Project Assurance Plan & Project Verification Plan.

On behalf of Woodside, we are recruiting a Quality Manager - Major Capital Projects, to join their team in Perth on a 12 month contract.
Reporting to the Quality General Manager you will ensure alignment with the Quality Policy, Projects Management Standard & Woodside Management System, providing governance over the development & implementation of the Project Quality Plan inclusive of Project Assurance Plan & Project Verification Plan.
- Managed a high performing quality team across project and contractor interfaces.
- Define quality critical roles and align competencies with execution needs.
- Approve critical quality deliverables (ITPs, MDRs, NCRs, inspection records) based on risk and specification.
- Oversee supplier surveillance, FATs, and MRB closure for high-risk packages.
- Validate verification evidence for inspections, completions, and VCR readiness.
- Resolve engineering quality issues through structured RCA and governance engagement.
- Provide technical assurance on quality hold points, witnessing strategy, contractor qualification.
- Endorse quality-related waivers or deviations in coordination with Engineering and Contracts.
- Assess supplier technical capability during bid evaluation and contract execution.
- Support readiness for completions and handover, from a quality standpoint.
- Extensive experience in quality roles, including management across major capital projects.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, IOGP frameworks, and enterprise QMS implementation.
- Experienced in audit governance, RCA facilitation, and contractor performance oversight.
- Proven capability in governing PQP, PAP, and PVP deliverables across execution phases.
- Proficient in FTQ360, SiQ, Power BI, SAP, or equivalent business quality and data management systems.
- Exposure to constructability, inspection, and completions during construction and commissioning.
- Degree in Engineering, Quality, or technical field - Preferred; Trade with 15+ years' QA/QC experience and formal QA training - Accepted.
- Certified Lead Auditor in ISO 9001 - Essential; Certified Quality Manager - Desirable
- Internationally recognised inspection certification - Essential.
- Professional standing (e.g. CQP MCQI, CMgr, or Chartered Engineer) - Preferred.
- Evidence of ongoing CPD aligned with company standards - Required.
