We are currently looking for an experienced Procurement Officer to oversee and facilitate the purchasing and expediting of materials and consumables that support SIMPEC’S strategic business objectives.

This will be a full-time position working in our head office based in Applecross.

The Role

  • Carry out Procurement process from receipt of enquiry until completion of order, including delivery, receipt and payment.
  • Preparation and issue of any Request for Quotations (RFQ’s).
  • Preparation of commercial evaluations.
  • Facilitation of supplier information (including setup of trading accounts), inventories and maintaining accurate records.
  • Building strong relationships with suppliers to maximise business contributions

About You

  • Minimum 3-5 years industry experience in a similar role.
  • Technical and practical knowledge of all phases of procurement and expediting processes.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to build positive stakeholder relationships
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Pronto highly regarded
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously within a collaborative team, be proactive and use initiative.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills, attention to detail and work well under pressure.
