We have an excellent opportunity for you as a full-time Detail/Topography Surveyor in Newcastle/Hunter Region to join our team.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Due to our continued growth and expansion, we have an excellent opportunity for a Detail/Topography Surveyor in Newcastle to join our Newcastle/Hunter Region Team.

Under the direct supervision of a Survey Manager, you will be responsible for conducting field and office work on large scale topographic surveys across the Newcastle/Hunter Region.

As part of the role, you are expected to competently deal with clients and project teams to meet the requirements of their projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct field surveys to collect accurate data on site features, elevations, and contours.
  • Utilise survey equipment such as total stations, GPS, and laser scanners.
  • Process and analyse survey dat.
  • Prepare detailed topographic maps and reports for clients.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure survey data meets project requirements.
  • Maintain and calibrate survey equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Establish high accuracy survey control.
  • Produce 3D linework & generate surfaces for contour creation.
  • Prepare survey drawings.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Have relevant qualifications for extensive experience for the role.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in topographic surveying.
  • Experience in Contour and detail surveys
  • Experience in identification surveys is preferred but not a requirement.
  • Exposure to Cadastral surveying is an advantage but not required.
  • Proficiency in survey software such as AutoCAD, Magnet and or other software's is advantageous but not required.
  • Strong understanding of Australian surveying standards and regulations.
  • Eagerness to learn and to share knowledge.
  • Ability to manage your time appropriately
  • Ability to effectively communicate with your team and other stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid Australian driver’s license.
