St John of God Bendigo Hospital is a 122-bed contemporary private hospital located in central Victoria providing high quality acute medical and surgical health care services for people in Bendigo and surrounding areas.

Your Position at St John of God Bendigo Hospital

We are currently seeking applications from suitably qualified, Registered Nurses to join our highly skilled and multi-disciplinary Surgical & Medical Ward.

If you are dynamic and flexible nurse, with outstanding communication skills and the ability to provide high–level patient care then we want to hear from you.

Hours will be negotiated with successful candidate(s).

The successful candidate(s) will have:

  • The overseeing of total patient care.
  • Being aware of all patient’s needs, conditions, and progress.
  • Being in contact with patients throughout the shift.
  • Ensuring all patient needs are met.
  • Ensuring all nursing procedures are carried out in a safe manner.
  • Regular attendance at relevant in-service education and appropriate study days external to hospital.
  • Ensuring that the quality of work performed is of a high standard
  • Not to interfere, bypass or misuse any system or equipment provided for health, safety and welfare purposes.
  • Ensuring that new and junior staff are assisted with ward routines.

You will have a registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, a demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well developed interpersonal and relationship building skills, and clinical knowledge and skills relevant to the Surgical &Medical ward.

To succeed you will have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.

The Benefits:

  • Salary: $68,093.58 - $96,175.39 AUD per annum(pro rata for part time), plus 11.5% superannuation
  • A Permanent Full time time/ Part time positions available.
