About the role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and passionate SHE Business Partner to join our dynamic Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) team.
Reporting to the Country SHE Manager – Australia, this role plays a key part in shaping and executing SHE strategy across LDC operations. You will partner with Operational Managers and SHE colleagues to develop, implement and champion programs that foster a strong safety culture and deliver effective SHE leadership across our national footprint.
As a member of the SHE team, you will also provide subject matter expertise across safety, health, environmental management, and rehabilitation. You will support injury management strategies and take responsibility for assigned LDC assets, while also assisting other SHE Business Partners as needed. Regular travel to various sites will be required.

Experience
Key responsibilities will be but not limited to:
- Participate in the implementation of the SHE strategy and continuous improvement plan + verify these actions are being completed a site level.
- Provide high level project support to the SHE manager to deliver objectives of the SHE strategy.
- Lead the design and development of core training modules and the coordination of training activities throughout LDC operations.
- Assist in the design, implementation, and review of SHE management system documentation (e.g., SOPs, policies, templates etc.)
- Assist to design, co-ordinate and manage the delivery of training across the sites / provide feedback on external training where required.
- Assist/mentor/coach sites around risk assessments.
- Participate/run incident investigations (with root cause analysis).
- Coach, mentor and support site and regional managers on SHE matters.
- Demonstrated experience in a senior SHE role within a complex operational or industrial environment.
- Strong working knowledge of WHS legislation, environmental standards, and rehabilitation/injury management practices.
- Proven ability to influence and engage stakeholders across multiple levels of the business.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly to LDC sites across Australia.
- Strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills.
- Relevant qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.
